Customer Reviews

We were close to this garage today in a small car park. Our car would not start and was giving us a strange message on dash. Ran to Vincent Street Garage in a panic for possible help. A very kind and helpful young man went straight to our car and solved the problem for us, panic over. Thankyou so much. Won’t forget your help and will recommend.

Maintenance FAQs

How often should I get my oil changed?
We’re experts with all makes and models, so we can help as many drivers as possible keep on top of their car servicing. We also complete a range of car services near you which keep your vehicle in top condition all year long. We recommend booking an interim service every 6 months or 6,000 miles, a full service every 12 months or 12,000 miles and a major service every 24 months or 24,000 miles. If you can’t remember the last time that you booked a car service in Yeovil, book a full or major service online with Vincent Street Garage today.
Should I worry about servicing my leased vehicle?
For a long time and sometimes still today, standard practice at many Garages is to suggest oil changes every three months or 3,000 miles. In order to know when the best time to get your oil changed is, check the owner’s manual of your specific model for manufacturer-recommended intervals.
Do I need to charge my battery after I jump-start my vehicle?
You do not need to change your battery after a jump start on all occasions however we would recommend you booking in to get the battery tested to see if your require a new battery.
How do I know when I need new brakes?
Brake pedal vibration: You may feel brake pedal vibration: you may feel a vibration or pulsation in the brake pedal when you press it down this may be caused by warped brake discs. Brake pad indicator light: Some vehicles have a dashboard light that will come on when the brake pads need to be replaced. If your vehicle has this feature, you'll need to have a mechanic replace the brake pads and the warning sensors. Brake pad wear: You can visually inspect your brake pads to see if they are thin. Screeching: You may hear a high-pitched screeching noise from your brakes. This can be caused by the brake pad indicator coming into contact with the rotor surface. Longer stopping distances: It may take longer than normal to stop your vehicle. Pulling to one side: Your vehicle may pull to one side when you brake.
